The ground grew distant as I ascended towards the feathery clouds in the azure blue sky. I gripped the edge of the wicker basket and watched as the sprawling landscape of La Cerdaña unfolded before me. I audibly gasped when I saw the contrast between snow-capped mountains and alpine meadows alongside magnificent rolling green hills. In the distance, I spotted a stunning golf course that stretched for miles! When the hot air balloon safely set down on the ground, I immediately headed to the Hotel Fontanals Golf****nearby and booked an above par room!

Located in the heart of Cerdanya, in the Catalan Pyrenees, this peaceful hotel is the perfect base for excursions in the lush surrounding landscape. Positioned close to an aerodrome, take a hot air balloon, helicopter or small aircraft for a flight above verdant lands.
