Winter or summer - I can never quite decide on my favourite season. Nursing a glass of mulled wine beside the fire, or sipping a refreshing cold beer after a day in the sun; the smells of Christmas trees and roast dinners, or the scent of freshly cut grass and barbecue smoke… It transpires that this choice between summer and winter is equally relevant when considering a holiday at the five-star Sport Hotel Heritage & Spa in Andorra, which offers a truly unforgettable stay in the Pyrenees all year round. The hotel’s name conjures up ideas of peace, seclusion and wellbeing, all of which are exquisitely epitomised by the eponymous spa. Whether you’re worn out from a long countryside ramble in the sun or an adrenaline-filled day on the slopes, this vast 5000m2 space spread over five floors will have you feeling renewed in no time at all. Aside from the classics such as heavenly massages and Vichy showers, the star of the show is the water circuit, which takes you through plunge pools of different temperatures, massaging jets, open air hydrotherapy bathtubs and other surprises.
The hotel’s main theme of unreserved indulgence is evident through the outstanding cuisine at the two gourmet restaurants, including the star-awarded Ibaya, by Chef Francis Paniego. I suppose the only conclusion you can reach is that, to truly make the most of it, you will have to go twice!

BY PLANE
There are no well-served international airports in Andorra. However, the French airports of Toulouse, Carcassonne and Perpignan, and the Spanish airports of Girona and Barcelona are all close to the principality.
Some of the best served airports include:
Toulouse-Blagnac Airport (TLS) is located just west of Toulouse, and around 3 hours' drive north of Andorra. The airport is fairly well-served by international flights from elsewhere in France along with a number of capitals cities and other large cities across Europe.
Girona–Costa Brava Airport (GRO) located just south of Girona, and around 2 hours and 30 minutes drive to the southeast of Andorra. Ryanair offer year-round & seasonal flights from a number of cities across Europe, while some other low-cost airlines also operate seasonal flights from certain destinations such Thomson Airways from the UK or Transavia from the Netherlands.
Barcelona-El Prat Airport (BCN) is located just south of Barcelona, and around 3 hours drive to the south of Andorra. It is a well-served international airport which receives flights from many capitals and major cities across Europe.
