When is the best time to go to Ibiza?

The best time to go to Ibiza is in June and September. These months offer the perfect balance between pleasant weather and dwindling crowds. In June, temperatures are already warm, but the island is not yet overrun with summer tourists. In September, the sea is still warm, and the crowds diminish. If you prefer a livelier atmosphere, July and August are the most festive months, but expect more crowds. October is pleasant, with mild temperatures and fewer tourists. December is peaceful, but cooler (average temperature around 13.1°C). This is ideal for exploring the island without the crowds. In short, if you're looking for excitement and warmth, book for the high season. If you prefer tranquillity, more affordable prices and milder temperatures, choose the low season or spring.

What to do in Ibiza

Here are a few must-do activities for a memorable stay in Ibiza.

First of all, visit Unesco World Heritage sites such as Eivissa, a 2,600-year-old town with typical, colourful streets.

Then there are the Phoenician ruins of Sa Caleta. These remains provide exceptional evidence of the urbanisation of the Phoenician colonies in the western Mediterranean.

Then there's Dalt Vila, Ibiza's old quarter. It is bordered by imposing Renaissance walls built in a heptagonal configuration. This elegant, majestic walled town sits atop a small mountain near the sea, overlooking the town of Ibiza.

Finally, don't hesitate to take a stroll along the beaches of Cala Bassa, Cala Conte and Ses Salines, considered to be the most beautiful on the island.

There are plenty of other activities on offer, such as strolling through the colourful stalls of the hippy markets, sampling the local cuisine to discover the flavours of Ibiza or enjoying the island's fiestas. Indeed, Ibiza is world-famous for its lively nightlife, providing the perfect opportunity for evening entertainment between sunset beach parties and giant clubs.  Boat trips are also a great way to enjoy the crystal-clear waters of the Mediterranean.
