On the border between the Basque Country and La Rioja you get an essential blend of the Basque culture and cuisine with the famous wines from the La Rioja region- an incredible mix. Hotel Viura **** is a product of this winning combination making it a fantastic place to stay. The fact the hotel is named after a type of grape shows the importance of wine production for La Rioja. Staying at the hotel Viura will give you plenty of opportunity to discover the wines from the surrounding regions with the help of the hotel’s local experts.
You can have everything on tap: Hotel Viura makes sure that you have everything you need for a comfortable stay. When designing this hotel they really thought of all the little details which make your stay special like under floor heating in the bathroom, a mini bar full of the local region’s wine carefully selected by the hotel sommelier. The air-conditioning and heating mean that you can easily regulate the room’s temperature for a perfect night’s sleep. The beds are incredibly comfortable and you even get a complimentary bottle of sparkling or still water on arrival. All of these small touches will ensure you never forget this wonderful hotel.
Decorated with excellent taste: The rooms are tastefully decorated and some have views of the church or the village whilst others have mountain views. Guests at the hotel may use the Villabuena de Álava pool which is right next to the hotel, use the gym equipment or go on one of the four cycle routes which lead to and from the hotel, all gratis.

- Visit Laurel Street in Logroño where there is a string of excellent restaurants and bars for you to experience the local cuisine. There are not as many tourists in Logroño as in other cities of Spain so it’s nice to wander at ease, take in the Spanish culture and live like a local for a week.

Staying outside of Logroño in the hotel Viura is ideal as it means you can go into Logroño and return back to the peace and quiet of your hotel as Logroño will be packed at festival time.
