HOW TO GET TO THE HOTEL FROM THE AIRPORT

  • - By Ferry: Take the Orange Alilaguna line towards San Marco. Get off at San Marco, and then walk to the hotel. The water bus runs all day, for timetable information, please see the website. Tickets are 12€.

-By Boat Service: Minimum two people for this shared boat service: boats often wait for up to forty minutes to fill up. It will stop at every hotel destination required by other travellers, but is quicker than the Alilaguna public service. Prices start at 27€.

    - By Private Water Taxi: If you have a lot of luggage, or are travelling in a large group, consider a private water taxi, which will deposit you and your bags at the front of the hotel. These can be booked on arrival at the Consorzio Motoscafi Venezia desk in the Arrivals Hall at Marco Polo. The hire charge includes up to 4 passengers and their luggage. Extra passengers up to the limit of the water taxi (12 or 16) carry a very small surcharge - the official rate is €1.60. If the Consorzio Motoscafi Venezia desk is closed you can walk to the landing stage and hire a private water taxi directly there. There are usually several waiting to be hired. The journey costs around 110-130€

    - By Bus: Travelling by bus is the most economical option. For 1,10€, the number 5 bus will drop you at Piazza de Roma. The journey is around 30-45 minutes, because the bus makes several stops before arriving. Tickets can be purchased at the terminal, and don’t forget to validate your ticket at the yellow machines to avoid a fine.
The Blue Bus is a direct coach service, and only takes twenty minutes to reach Venice. It too drops passengers at Piazza de Roma. There are services until 00.20, and tickets costing just 3€ can be purchased from the conductor.
