La Marianne: is a national symbol of the French Republic, an allegory of liberty and reason, and a portrayal of the Goddess of Liberty.

Le Marianne: could be considered as a representation of the French Republic and culture, a place of liberty and reason, good enough for, say, the Goddess of Liberty herself.

The first thing that you will love about Le Marianne is its brilliantly Parisian exterior. The carefully sculptured stone façade, the embossed doorframe and the intricate patterns of iron bars on the balconies, all combine in beautiful Parisian splendour. It is a true depiction of the French republic, and modernisation of Paris. The second thing you’ll love is the modern interior that contrasts with the charming exterior, with a fresh and contemporary design. As you step in the reception is alluring, centred round a sparkling golden chandelier and each furnishing is individually designed by different artists.

Inside continues as a space of liberty and reason; liberty to do as you please whether you wish to spend time studying rhyme and reason in the relaxed leisure of the sleek reading room, in the English style Honesty Bar sipping a fine wine, in the comfort of your own room enjoying a sumptuous massage or whether you want to get your heart pumping in the Fitness Centre. Whatever you choose, all of Le Marianne’s rooms are new and contemporary with bright, clean spaces.

Each morning for bright and early, or not so early breakfast (it’s is served until 10.30am on weekdays and until 11am on weekends), you’ll find yourself in another brightly illuminated room, lit by Mother Nature herself. This room, just off the lobby, is an enchanting space. The glass roof lets in an enormous amount of light which contrasts with the slick black tables and green sofas blend in, reflecting the green of the trees of the patio outside. The room has the natural feel of being outside yet having a warm, room temperature. This cosy shelter is where you can feast on a generous breakfast with a large selection of fruits and patisseries. Or if you prefer, a continental breakfast can always be arranged to be had from the comfort of your room, pure indulgence.

Now we get to the lustrous rooms, the rooms that are fit for the Goddess of Liberty herself. Gracefully step up the stairs, slide your hand along the smooth wooden banisters, and enter your room. Inside most rooms are decorated in classic grey, black and white with splash of beige or yellow. Each room has its own personality; a distinct headboard covered in rich fabrics that vary from room to room. The en-suites are smooth marble bathrooms and there is the delightful addition of a dressing room. The Classic and Superior rooms are adorned with an Italian-style shower whilst the Deluxe rooms have a long, comfortable bath. Toiletries by Pascal Morabito are provided as well as snug bathrobes and slippers. The bedrooms are cocoons of sheer comfort, with all the mod-cons you might expect, plus a nifty TV with the Airplay feature which allows you to connect your smartphones via Bluetooth.

So there you have the modernity, the personality, but what of the practicality? In the 8th arrondissement you can’t go wrong with location; you can walk to many of the famous sights! This is one of Paris’ most stylish and culturally rich neighbourhoods, and it’s near all the classics; L’Avenue des Champs L’Elysées, the Arc du Triomphe, Concorde and Madeleine, the list goes on.

Le Marianne is, like the symbol of La Marianne, is at the forefront of French culture, and at the forefront of Parisian hotels, it is sure to impress!
