By Melanie Webb, VeryChic correspondent
Languedoc-Roussillon is known for its luscious wines and landscape of vineyard after vineyard. And wherever there is good wine, good food follows in this agricultural French region. Here, the Château Les Carrasses is nestled in between the mountains and the beaches of southern France, in perfect position for breathtaking walks, village visits and sporty leisure activities. This region also sees at least three hundred days of sunlight a year, so you might stop by and catch an early summer sun.

The Chateau Les Carrasses is a 19th century wine domain in the Languedoc region of the South of France. The area boasts a range of things to do and see from tasting superb cuisine and fine wines to hiking in the country, enjoying a day at the beach or visiting historic Roman, medieval or Renaissance towns.

  • Montpellier-Méditerranée Airport is the closest airport, located 1 hour's drive north east of the chateau, it receives flights from London, Munich and Amsterdam, as well as multiple French cities, as well as seasonal flights from Nordic countries and other cities in the UK and the Netherlands.

Also, just a little over an hour to the south is Perpignan-Rivesaltes Airport, which is similarly served by international and seasonal flights.

Otherwise, the better served Toulouse-Blagnac Airport is a little under 2 hours' drive to the west of the chateau, it receives flights from many capitals and major cities across Europe.
