The Sura Deisgn Hotel & Suites is located in the Sultanahmet district of Istanbul, on the European side of the city. The name of the neighbourhood comes from the Blue Mosque, and it is bordered by the Bosphorus straits to the East and South.
Passports should be valid for no less than 150 days from the date of arrival in Turkey.
Citizens of the UK of many countries in the EU do not require a visa for visits of up to 90 days.
Istanbul currently has two airports, one on the European (western) side of the city and one on the Asian (eastern) side of the city:
- Istanbul Atatürk Airport (IST) is the main international airport of Istanbul, located around 24 km / 15 mi west of the city centre. This airport receives more regular direct flights from many capitals and major cities across Europe.
- Sabiha Gökçen International Airport (SAW), is located around 35 km / 22 mi southeast of the city centre. It also receives a number of flights from cities across Europe, as well as many flights from outside of Europe.
Istanbul is well connected by train, with trains to Istanbul departing from all major cities across Europe and Asia. Trains from Europe arrive at Sirkeci (note that InterRail tickets are valid in Istanbul but only on the European side and not in the Asian region).
• Taxi: you will find official taxis lined up outside the airport, it will take around 30 minutes to reach the city centre from Atatürk Airport. A taxi from Sabiha Gökçen Airport will likely take over an hour.
• Shuttle: another option from both airports is the Havataş airport shuttle to Taksim Square. It will take around 40 minutes from Atatürk Airport, and around an hour and a half from Sabiha Gökçen Airport.
From Monday to Friday from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. and on Saturdays, Sundays and French bank holidays from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.
