Rushton Hall ★★★★

Grand country manor with a fascinating history and a superb restaurant.

By Edward Fairbairn, VeryChic correspondent
A hotel with a history, Rushton Hall is an elegant, Grade I listed 16th century mansion set amid 25 acres of beautiful grounds. Old-fashioned grandeur meets modern luxury, making for a perfect country retreat with plenty of traditional charm as well as state of the art facilities, including a lovely spa. Perhaps the highlight is the restaurant however, the only one in Northamptonshire to be awarded three coveted AA rosettes thanks to its sumptuous seasonal menus made from quality local ingredients – a dining experience, and a hotel, which you will never forget!
