  • Anesis Spiros, the best restaurant on Agios Prokopios beach. With ample seating, it uses ingredients from its own organic vegetable garden and has a variety of fresh fish, which one can see in the kitchen and choose to be cooked to perfection.
  • Wind up the rugged hill to the beautiful village of Apeiranthos that is not only generally considered the most picturesque on the island, but houses four museums: the Archaeological Museum, the Museum of Folk Art, the Geological Museum, and the Museum of Natural History.
  • Watch the sunset through the striking, vast, white marble doorway to the unfinished Temple of Apollo, the Portara, overlooking the sea and Delos.
  • Set off to find some privacy on this virgin beach surrounded by Ceder forest and sand dunes and surrender to the sheer peace of paradise under the shade of a Tamarisk tree. Aliko Beach, there are 6 buses a day to Aliko from Naxos or you can get there independently.

BY PLANE

  • The island of Naxos is serviced by the Naxos Island National Airport. However, the service is limited to flights from Athens operated by Olympic Air. Making a connection in Athens is mandatory. Flights to Athens are listed hereunder.

    - From the UK: British Airways , Aegean and low cost EasyJet and Ryanair all operate direct flights out of London. Aegean further fly from Birmingham and Manchester, and EasyJet from Manchester and Edinburgh. British Airways also fly indirect from Glasgow and Belfast.

    - From Ireland: Direct flights can be found operated by Aer Lingus out of Dublin.

    - From Germany: Lufthansa and Aegean fly direct out of Berlin, Dusseldorf, Frankfurt and Munich. Easyjet also fly direct from Berlin and Hamburg while Germanwings fly from Munich.

    - From the Netherlands: KLM provide direct flights from Amsterdam to Athens.

    - From Sweden, Denmark, Norway and Finland: SAS, Norwegian and Aegean fly direct from Stockholm in Sweden, Oslo in Norway and Copenhagen, Denmark. Norwegian airlines operate direct flights out of Helsinki, Finland.

    - From France: Air France, Aegean and EasyJet all fly direct from Paris. Air France further provide direct flights from Toulouse, Marseille and Nice, while Aegean also fly from Marseille and Lyon.

HOW TO GET FROM THE AIRPORT TO THE HOTEL

  • From the Naxos Island National Airport:
    - By Airport Transfer Service: provided by the hotel and which is included in the room fares.

    - By Taxi: the trip will last around 10 minutes and cost about 10€ to 15€ (around £7 to £11). During the high season they are readily available outside the airport terminal.

    - By car: As Naxos is a rather large island, renting a car is an option worth considering. It will allow you to explore the island and not depend on taxis or buses. From the airport, take head north on the road. Take the first left and take this road that goes between the sea on the right and a lagoon on the left. Take the first left and continue south on this road for about 1km and the hotel will be on the right.

    From Athens & other ports:
    - By Ferry: you can also take the ferry from a number of ports such as Athens Piraeus & Rafina, Santorin, Mykonos, Anafi, Amorgos, Naxos, Paros, Ios, Rhodes and Crete.
    A direct Airport Express bus runs 24/7 between the port and Athens International Airport and you can find additional information about the ferries on the Greek Ferries website. Ferry rides from Piraeus to Naxos take between 3.5 – 6 hours and cost between 57€ – 121€ (around £42 – £88). From the port of Naxos you can take a taxi to the hotel or rent a car.
