When you’ve seen what I’ve seen, I’m sure you’ll agree: this is a place where memories are made, where stunning sunsets form the backdrop for many a love story, most importantly ours. The views of the Mediterranean Sea are magnificent whatever the weather. The water may be too chilly in the winter for a romantic midnight swim, but we’ll have the beach to ourselves.
Each room, decorated in rich earthy tones, is prettier than the one before and they are all fully equipped with everything I’ll need to make myself beautiful for you – hairdryers, fancy toiletries to try out together in the shower or whirlpool bathtub, gown and slippers...
If the way to your heart is through your stomach, I’ll happily treat you to a slap-up meal or two in the hotel restaurant Rosa dels Vents where we’ll dine on fine Mediterranean cuisine. The chef, Enric Herce, uses only local seasonal products in his preparations, where beautifully prepared seafood (crab, octopus, monkfish, the list goes on…) takes pride of place. The sommelier will help us choose the most appropriate wine to accompany our meal (unless you yourself have expertise in the domain, in which case: will you marry me now?)
I do hope you’re not one of those guys who is allergic to face cream and beauty treatments. A proper prince needs to take care of his appearance and what better place to pamper ourselves together than the 600m2 Aquazone spa. Imagine it now – a gentle massage, hand in hand, before slipping into the Jacuzzi. If you like to keep fit (and I hope you do) you could do a few laps of the stunning indoor pool while I admire your form from one of the submerged loungers. You could treat me to a Chocolate delight treatment while I treat you to a Delicious Vedic Ritual Spa treatment devised just for you. We’ll smell so good we won’t be able to keep our hands off each other!
I don’t want to jump the gun, but you will come to discover that the Casa del Pi is somewhere we’ll want to come back to with our future children. I know for a fact that the family bedrooms (with two interconnecting bedrooms, a spacious bathroom and not one, not two, but three private balconies) are fantastic. There is also a children’s play area where they can while away the hours playing games, painting portraits, watching DVDs… Added to the fact that the hotel beach is the perfect size for children to play freely in the sand and waves without having to worry about them wandering off and getting lost in the crowds, and this truly is the ideal setting for families with children. But I’m getting ahead of myself here...
And the birds seagulls will sing
And wedding bells will ring
Some day when my dreams come true...
If I’ve succeeded in arousing your interest then a romantic 5-star stay at the Casa del Pi should win me over. I should warn you though, past boyfriends have mentioned that I am slightly high-maintenance!
