  • The closest airport is Nîmes-Alès- Camargue-Cévennes Airport, about 60km (37miles) from the hotel. Although Ryanair offers some flights from London, there are limited options for international flights. For more flight-options book your flight from/to Marseille-Provence Airport.

    - From the UK: British Airways, EasyJet and Ryanair fly from London. Seasonal flights are also operated by easyJet from Bristol, and Ryanair from Edinburgh.

    - From Ireland: Ryanair operates seasonal flights out of Dublin.

    - From Germany: Air France flies from Berlin and Lufthansa flies from Frankfurt and Munich.

    - From Sweden: Ryanair flies seasonally from Stockholm.

    - From Denmark: Norwegian Air Shuttle flies from Copenhagen.

    - From Finland: SAS flies seasonally from Helsinki.

HOW TO GET FROM THE AIRPORT TO THE HOTEL

  • - By Train: First take the SNCF bus from Marseille Provence Aeroport to Aix-en-Provence TGV. Then take the TGV train from Aix-en Provence to Avignon TGV and take the train to Avignon Centre. Next take the bus from Avignon Gare Routiere to Sauveterre. From Sauveterre it’s only a short 5- minute walk to the Château de Varenne Hotel. The duration of this trip will be around 2 hours and 45 minutes and will costs around €22.

    - By Bus: There is no direct service from Marseille to Avignon. Instead, take the Navette from
    the airport to Aix-en-Provence, where you can pick up the Number 23 bus from Aix to  Avignon. It only leaves four times a day and can take up to four hours. For more information: Lignes Express Régionales PACA

    - By Car: This is the easiest way to reach the hotel. Take the A7 towards Rognac and take exit D225 towards Avignon-Centre. Continue on D225. Take D228 for 2.2 km and continue onto Boulevard de la Linge (1150m). Continue toward N580. Turn Right onto route D228 for 2.2 Km and then take the second exit on the roundabout. Follow the D228 for 3.5km and continue on the D780 for 1100m. Take a right onto the D980. Continue following the D980 for 4km, then take the 3rd exit on the roundabout onto the D980. Keep following the D980 for 500m, then turn left and after 210m you have reached the Château de Varenne Hotel. The duration of the trip takes about 1 hour depending on the traffic.
