Act 1, Scene 1
We see a couple driving along the Seine, the windows rolled down to let in a cool breeze as the sun blazes down from a blue sky and we follow them into a quiet, leafy area of wide streets and tall, pretty houses with ornate balconies and slate roofs, typical of antique Paris. This is clearly a privileged neighbourhood as we see picturesque pavements lined with tall trees and elegant cafés. They arrive at a sleek, ultra modern building, drive straight through to the car park and then make their way to the gleaming lobby. Here they are given a genial welcome and are courteously ushered to their room.
Act 1, Scene 2
The couple enter the room and we pan out to see it from their perspective: 25 square metres of light and chic design that boasts an HD LED television, air conditioning and tea and coffee making facilities for that pre-breakfast wake-up call. The man moves to raid the minibar as the woman is drawn, entranced to the window. There, beyond a higgledy-piggledy row of rooftops, silhouetted dramatically against the brilliant sky, is the Eiffel Tower. The man comes up behind her with a small bottle of wine and two glasses, wraps his arms about her and whispers something that makes her blush and throw her head back laughing. They pour the wine and toast.
Act 2, Scene 1
Night: we see the same view but this time with the Eiffel Tower lit up in a blaze of light. The man is waiting on the vast bed, fully dressed, looking very dapper whilst we hear singing from the bathroom. A moment later, the woman emerges in a dazzling cocktail dress and hand in hand they leave the room for dinner.
Act 2, Scene 2
We see the couple, both smartly dressed and wreathed in smiles, entering the hotel's Victor Hugo Brasserie. We see a short montage of dish after dish of delicious classic French cuisine, exquisitely presented, arriving at their table and being taken away again almost licked clean. Not quite sophisticated enough to pretend not to care, the couple are beaming with delight and sheer enjoyment, clearly in raptures with their gorgeous hotel in the centre of Paris.
Act 3, Scene 1
Morning: Bright lights dance about the breakfast room where rows of charcuterie, cheeses, fruit and salad are laid out. The camera momentarily follows a waiter that hurries about cooking à la minute eggs, attending to guests and preparing delicious smoothies. The camera then pans out to reveal the couple in the corner looking lovingly into each other’s eyes and enjoying a filling plateful of bountiful breakfast. Fade out.

BY PLANE
Paris is served by three main airports: Paris Charles de Gaulle (CDG), located 25 km (16 mi) to the northeast of Paris, Paris Orly (ORY), located 13 km (8.1 mi) south of Paris, and Paris Beauvais (BVA), around 85 km (53 mi) north of Paris (near the city of Beauvais).
Paris Charles de Gaulle and Paris Orly receive flights from most capitals and major cities across Europe. Meanwhile, low-cost airlines (notably Ryanair), operate flights to Paris Beauvais from many cities across Europe.
HOW TO GET FROM THE AIRPORT TO THE HOTEL
From Paris Charles de Gaulle airport:
- By Taxi: They are easily found outside each terminal, make sure to take an officially licensed taxi from the taxi rank. Fares vary considerably depending on traffic, but expect to pay anywhere between 50€ to 65€.
- By Train: This is generally the most cost-efficient method. The airport is connected to the city via Line B of the RER; take the train to Gare du Nord, and switch to the metro system, taking line M4 (purple) for 4 stops to Réaumur - Sébastopol. The change to the M3 line (olive green) to the Anatole France Stop. Tickets are 9,75€ or 6,85€ for children (ages 4- 9).
- By Bus: The Roissybus runs directly to Opéra in central Paris, tickets cost around 10€. Once at Opéra either take a taxi or metro to the hotel. Travelling by metro you will need to take the M3 line (olive green) to the Anatole France Stop
Alternatively, Air France run buses directly to Arc de Triomphe/ Charles de Gaulle - Etoile. However these are far more expensive, at around 20€ per person.
From Paris Orly airport:
- By Taxi: They are easily found outside each terminal, make sure to take an officially licensed taxi from the taxi rank. Fares vary considerably depending on traffic, but expect to pay anywhere between 30€ to 40€.
- By Train: The airport is connected to RER line B via the bus service ORLYVAL. The bus will drop you off at the RER station Anthony. You can take the RER toto Gare du Nord, and switch to the metro system, taking line M4 (purple) for 4 stops to Réaumur - Sébastopol. The change to the M3 line (olive green) to the Anatole France Stop. The combined journey costs around 11.65€ and 5.80€ for children (ages 4 - 10).
From Paris-Beauvais airport:
- By Train: Take a taxi (around 11€) or shuttle bus (around 4€ per person) to Beauvais station, from there take the TER line 19 to Paris Gare du Nord. Then take the RER line B to Châtelet Les Halles followed by metro line M1 (yellow) to Charles de Gaulle - Etoile.
- By Bus: There is a shuttle bus operating between the airport and Porte Maillot in the city centre. From there take the metro line M1 (yellow) for 1 stop to the Les Sablons Stop. it is then just a 15 minute walk straight up Rue Louis Philippe and Boulevard d'Inkermann until it meets Boulevard Victor Hugo. The hotel is just across roundabout with the statue of Duc d'Orleans
From the Anatole France stop, head southwest down Rue Voltaire until it ends. Turn right onto Rue de Villers and the make the first left onto Rue de Lesseps. Turn right onto Boulevard Victor Hugo and the hotel is just a few meters further.
BY TRAIN
Most international trains arrive at either Paris Gare du Nord or Paris de l’Est. From the UK is it possible to book via Eurostar, otherwise Thalys or TGV operate from other neighbouring counties and elsewhere in France.
From Gare du Nord and Gare de l’Est, take the metro system, taking line M4 (purple) for 4 stops to Réaumur - Sébastopol. The change to the M3 line (olive green) to the Anatole France Stop. From the Anatole France stop, head southwest down Rue Voltaire until it ends. Turn right onto Rue de Villers and the make the first left onto Rue de Lesseps. Turn right onto Boulevard Victor Hugo and the hotel is just a few meters further.
BY METRO
The nearest metro is Anatole France (line 3) in the direction "Levallois Perret". From the metro station to the hotel is around 700 m or 10 min by foot. head southwest down Rue Voltaire until it ends. Turn right onto Rue de Villers and the make the first left onto Rue de Lesseps. Turn right onto Boulevard Victor Hugo and the hotel is just a few meters further.
