The waves of the Mediterranean practically lap up against the front door of the luxurious Creta Palace, separated from the hotel only by a vast stretch of beach. It is just as well that the beach is quite so irresistible because otherwise it might be hard to step away from the magnificent hotel, which comes with a plethora of five-star facilities including an endless array of activities and nine bars and restaurants. This superb resort is the perfect backdrop for an unforgettable holiday, set on an island steeped in history, intrigue and natural beauty.

  • Heraklion International Airport, “Nikos Kazantzakis” (HER), Crete's main airport, sits around 5 km / 3 mi east of Heraklion on the central northern coast. It is around 79 km / 49 mi (1 hour and 10 minutes') drive from the hotel.

    The airport receives flights from a large number of cities across Europe, including the UK. Many flights operate in the summer seaon, otherwise it may be required to fly indirect via Athens.

    Alternatively, Chania International Airport, "Daskalogiannis" (CHQ), is located on the northwestern Akrotiri Peninsula, 14 km / 8.7 mi east of Chania. It is around 71 km / 44 mi (1 hour 4 minutes') drive from the hotel.

    The airport also receives a number seasonal flights from cities across Europe, including the UK, and year-round flights from Athens.
