Castello Boutique Resort & Spa ★★★★★
Sissi
72400
Crete
Greece
Castello Boutique Resort & Spa ***** is found in the small village of Sissi, situated on the north coast of Crete just inside the border of the Lassithi province. Its inhabited centre is built around a deep and naturally sheltered cove, used as a fishing harbor.
The main airport in Crete, and closest to the hotel, is Heraklion International Airport, “Nikos Kazantzakis” (HER). It sits around 5 km to the east of Heraklion city center, near the municipality of Nea Alikarnassos.
A large number of airlines operate flights to Heraklion Airport, from a large number of cities across Europe, however it should be noted that most international flights to the airport operate seasonally, mostly during the summer. You may have to fly first to Athens and take a second flight or a boat from there.
- By hotel transfer: a transfer by taxi may be arranged with the hotel in advance for a surcharge of 55€ each way.
- By taxi: The taxi rank can be found outside the airport’s main terminal. It is however highly recommended to book a taxi in advance, for risk of none being available on arrival. Around 40 minutes’ drive, a regular (4 passenger seat) taxi to the hotel should cost between 50 and 55€.
- By bus: Buses do exist between Heraklion and Sissi although they are not common and you may have to make your way into the city first. Tickets should cost around 4.50€ per person.
- By car: Car rentals can be found at the airport terminals. Heraklion Airport (and city) is connected to Sissi to the east via the E75 motorway, the drive is about 35 minutes in total, after about 30 minutes look out for the exit for Sisi.
From Monday to Friday from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. and on Saturdays, Sundays and French bank holidays from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Local call charges may apply.
