Current situation:
• Must present a vaccination certificate (valid 7 days after the 2nd injection for Pfizer, Moderna, AstraZeneca vaccines; 4 weeks after the single injection for Johnson & Johnson; 7 days after the single injection in people who have had Covid), together with a declaration that you have no symptoms nor have been in contact with a confirmed Covid case.
• If unvaccinated, must present a negative PCR test or a negative antigen test taken within 48 hours of arrival (24 hours if travelling from Cyprus, Greece, Malta, Spain, Netherlands and Portugal).
• Alternatively, present proof of recovery from Covid.
• If travelling from an orange zone, you are subject to a random test on arrival and must isolate for 7 days.

  • New Morning. We loved this this ultra-modern jazz venue, specialising in free jazz, fusion and funk. It also attracted star names like Stan Getz, Chet Baker, Dizzy Gillespie, and Miles Davis. Lovely atmosphere, lots of students and hip not-so-youngsters.

  • For a more traditional take on classic Paris culture, the Perfume Museum of Frangonard. It is situated in a lovely town house from the Napoleon III period and with furnishing and décor entirely of the period. It’s worth a look just for the house, but there are some really wonderful perfumery objects and history as well.

BY PLANE

  • Paris is served by three main airports: Paris Charles de Gaulle (CDG), located 25 km (16 mi) to the northeast of Paris, Paris Orly (ORY), located 13 km (8.1 mi) south of Paris, and Paris Beauvais (BVA), around 85 km (53 mi) north of Paris (near the city of Beauvais).

    Paris Charles de Gaulle and Paris Orly receive flights from most capitals and major cities across Europe. Meanwhile, low-cost airlines (notably Ryanair), operate flights to Paris Beauvais from many cities across Europe.

HOW TO GET FROM THE AIRPORT TO THE HOTEL

  • - From Roissy-Charles de Gaulle: Take the RER B to Gare du Nord. From there it is a 15-minute walk to the hotel, but you can also choose to finish the journey with a short taxi ride.

    - From Paris-Orly: Take the Orlyval until Antony, and take the RER B until Gare du Nord. From there it is a 15-minute walk to the hotel, but you can also choose to finish the journey with a short taxi ride.

BY TRAIN

  • From the UK it is possible to book via Eurostar, otherwise Thalys or TGV operate from other neighbouring counties and elsewhere in France. Most international trains arrive at either Paris Gare du Nord or Paris Gare de l’Est.

    From Gare du Nord to the hotel it is a 15-minute walk to the hotel, but you can also choose to finish the journey with a short taxi ride. Walk down Rue de Maubeuge, turn right on Rue de la Tour d’Auvergne and then left onto Rue des Martys. The hotel will be on your right.

BY METRO

  • The closest metro stations are Notre Dame de Lorette (line 12), Cadet and Le Pelletier (line 7).
