Hotel Le Placide ★★★★

A tranquil stay in the most Parisian of Paris’ neighbourhoods.

By Melanie Webb, VeryChic correspondent
I can safely say that the 6th arrondissement, Saint Germain des Près is the most classically Parisian neighbourhood to be found. It boasts things all typically Parisian; the storied cafés, the boutiques, the art galleries, atmospheric restaurants and various museums. The artists Monet, Renoir and Picasso have all resided here and when the jazz age came along, the quartier gave rise to some of the great thinkers of the 20th century; Sartre, Beauvoir, Camus and others. Welcome to Paris’ intellectual and sophisticated neighbourhood…
