Antwerp effortlessly fuses together the past and the present, where stunning Art Nouveau buildings sit side by side with renaissance masterpieces and medieval castles. Tucked in between, there is a mishmash of stylish bars, shops, restaurants, and cafes, with plenty of sights to explore around every twist and turn. In the middle of this architectural, shopping heaven is the Lindner Hotel & City Lounge. Situated in the famous diamond quarter and close to Antwerp’s eye-catching station, it provides the perfect place to start exploring the city and everything it has to offer.
Inside, the décor was an idyllic mix of contemporary flair and stylish design, with whitewashed walls, sleek wooden furnishings, and bursts of bright colours. With 162 rooms, the Lindner is ideal for every type of traveller, from globetrotting culture lovers to those on business trips. As for me? I was there for the shopping and the sights, and I couldn’t wait to get stuck in. But first, I had to drop off my stuff in my bright and spacious room. The modern design reflected the newer side to Antwerp, whilst the high-quality bed meant I could fully refresh after a long day walking the city streets.
The Lindner had everything I needed with an on-site wellness centre and gym that replenished me after a hard day’s shopping, and a delicious restaurant that served up a wonderful selection of delicious food and wine. And, when I simply needed to flop, the comfortable lounges were the perfect hideaway.
From the moment I arrived in Antwerp, it swept me up in a flurry of grand architecture, quirky shopping, cultural delights, and a laidback atmosphere. The Lindner Hotel & City Lounge reflected this perfectly, providing a comfortable, stylish retreat for every kind of traveller.
