For many people the word holiday is music to the ears, but when it comes to the summer holidays it could be just worry that comes to mind, endless weeks where the children have no school and the parents are expected to keep them entertained. Sometimes it may not seem like a holiday at all, but that is when VeryChic comes to the rescue.
We have a present for you, wrapped up with care and with attention to detail; a stay in Provence, ideally situated and all-inclusive, in a junior suite perfect to fit a family of four. Classically decorated bedroom with a sleek bathroom, it’s the perfect place to come back to after spending the day in Nimes, Avignon or at the exciting Camargue National and Regional Park.
The hotel is arranged by Feng Shui in order to channel energy to you, and allow you to recharge your batteries. Around are modern and eye-catching Chinese paintings that evoke a fresh and modern atmosphere; the reception is a relaxing space decorated by modern brightly coloured furniture.
The building is set in verdant gardens of two acres, great for the little ones to run about in when you’re not out about exploring the region. For more of a taste of China in France there are bamboo trees dotted about the green and walk further on and you will discover the open air swimming pool, great for cooling down from the summer sun. You can also teach your kids a spot of tennis on the courts; by the end of the holiday it might be them that are beating you rather than the other way round!
Of course, there are plenty of things to do in the surrounding area, from visiting Nimes and its historic sites from the Roman area to the prehistoric caves that are spread out across this part of France. A favourite amongst families is a visit to the reserve of the Camargue National and Regional Park which is home to animals you’d expect to find in the African continent rather than in France.
When you come back from a tiring day you won’t have to think about venturing out to a restaurant or even cooking for yourselves, just make your way down to the hotel’s atmospheric restaurant for your evening meal amongst the rustic open-bricked walls. A buffet three-course meal awaits, including a spot of show cooking as entertainment for your evening. Team your dinner with a wine from the hotel’s own wine cellar or begin your meal with a refreshing Kir aperitif.
In the morning, the meal setting is a little brighter, where a hearty buffet breakfast with everything from fresh fruits to juicy sausages are served in a naturally lit room. Fresh orange juice or warm drinks are also readily available. For lunch you can choose to dine in the restaurant or by the pool, that is, if you are going to be there. If not, you can order a packed lunch so that you can go on your excursion without worrying about coming back to the hotel on time. Choose from a selection of starters, followed by grilled fish or meat and succulent dessert. The delicious Provençal treats don’t stop there! Between half past three and half past four expect a sweet snack on the terrace whilst you watch the world go by.
Here is our present from us to you, use it wisely, but most of all enjoy it!
