The Hotel Barberini **** is located in a charming 19th century building, in the very centre of the Rome, facing the Palazzo Barberini and close to the Trevi Fountain, Via Veneto and the Spanish Steps.

BY PLANE

  • The main airport serving Rome is Fiumicino Airport, 35.0 km (21.7 mi) southwest of the city centre. Some low-cost airlines however, notably Ryanair, fly into Rome Ciampino Airport, 12 km (7.5 mi) south-southeast of the city centre.

    - From the UK: Direct flights from London are offered by British Airways, Monarch, EasyJet and Ryanair. Monarch also operate direct from Birmingham, Easyjet from Bristol and Ryanair from Manchester & Edinburgh. British Airways also fly indirect from other cities such as Belfast.

    - From Ireland: Aer Lingus and Ryanair operate direct from Dublin.

    - From Germany: Air Berlin, Germanwings, Vueling and Easyjet fly direct out of Berlin. Air Berlin also fly from Dusseldorf, as do Ryanair. Along with Easyjet, Germanwings fly, from Hamburg, and Ryanair, from Cologne. Vueling fly from Munich, and Alitalia and Ryanair from Frankfurt.

    - From the Netherlands: Flying from Amsterdam, Vueling and Easyjet offer direct flights, while Transavia fly direct from Rotterdam and Ryanair fly direct from Eindhoven.

    - From Sweden, Denmark, Norway and Finland: SAS, Norwegian and Ryanair run direct from Stockholm, Sweden and Oslo, Norway, and SAS, Norwegian and Easyjet operate direct flights from Copenhagen, Denmark. Norwegian and Finnair fly direct from Helsinki, Finland.

    - From France: Air France, Vueling, EasyJet and Ryanair operate direct flights from Paris. From Bordeaux and Marseille direct flights can be found from Air France and Ryanair, and from Toulouse and Lyon, Air France and Easyjet. Easyjet also fly from Nice.

HOW TO GET FROM THE AIRPORTS TO THE HOTEL

  • From Fiumicino Airport to the hotel:
    - By Airport Transfer Service: provided by the hotel for 60€ (around £42) per journey.

    - By Train: The Leonardo Express takes about 30 minutes to get to Termini Station, it runs 7 days a week and costs around 15€ (around £11), with children under 12 going free. From there, either take a taxi directly to the hotel or take the metro line A for two stops up to Barberini and walk around the corner down Via delle Quattro Fontane until you see the hotel on the right, on the corner with Via Rasella.

    - By Bus: Terravision run non-stop buses, also to Termini Station. From there, follow the same directions as above, taking a taxi or the metro to Barberini.

    From Ciampino Airport to the hotel:
    - By Train: Bus service CO.TRA.L operate buses connecting the airport to the Anagnina metro station (line A). From Anagnina, it is a direct 40 minute metro journey to the Barberini station, just around the corner from the hotel.

    - By Bus: Terravision run non-stop buses to Termini Station. From there, again either take a taxi directly to the hotel or take metro line A two stops to Barberini, just around the corner from the Piazza di Spagna. Tickets are 6€/4€ online (around £4/£3 online) for a single or 11€/8€ online (around £8/£6 online) for a return and the journey time is around 40 minutes.
