Sand Cunit Aparthotel ★★★★

I woke up with the sun on my face, the sound of the birds and warmth of my husband beside me in our apartment at the Sand Cunit Aparthotel. The 40m² room was more than enough space for the two of us, and it was a great family size – I’d be bearing that in mind for the future! Lazily, I dragged myself from our queen sized bed and decided to close the curtains, should my sound asleep partner wish to continue dreaming for a few moments more. I wondered over to our kitchenette and starting making tea, in the hope that tomorrow it would be me that received tea in bed in return.

We eventually trundled down to the buffet breakfast, included with our VeryChic offer, and indulged in satisfying breakfast. Our plans for the day weren’t exactly clear yet; we were already settling into Spanish culture and how the Spanish make spontaneous plans. So we decided to change into our swimming gear and head out to the rooftop pool. The terrace on the rooftop comprised of a walled garden with Roman and Greek style which had tables, chairs, sun beds and marine pool in the middle. At the Bar Chill Out also on the last floor, we enjoyed many an evening sipping on refreshing drinks and observing the changing colour of the panorama in front of us as the day turned into evening.

This hotel is new on the scene and everything is sparkling and spick and span. It gave us a unique thrill to know that we were amongst the first to set foot in this luxurious space and one of the first to meet the friendly and professional staff team. We were also first to set foot in the warm and aroma-filled spa. Again, situated on the top floor, the views the glass walls hold are spectacular. Inside we found a heated swimming pool with water jets, two saunas, a jacuzzi partnered with treatment rooms. Thanks to VeryChic we could indulge in a complimentary session here, and bubble all our worries away in the jacuzzi, sizzle them away in the sauna and finish with a relaxing swim in the warm swimming pool.

But all that swimming builds up quite an appetite. After our visit to the spa, my husband and I decided to head for the hotel restaurant which specialises in fresh Mediterranean cuisine. There’s a different day menu each day, but the list of tasty rice dishes and mouth-watering fish dishes is ample and perfect to suit any appetite and taste.

Whilst the Sand Cunit has it covered from an adult’s point of view with the restaurant, the bar, the spa, it also caters for the little ones. Expect a schedule of entertainment and activities in high season alongside a games room for the older kids and a “miniclub” for the smaller ones.
