Hotel Vier Jahreszeiten Berlin City West ****Sup lies south-west of central Berlin, in what used to be the village of Wilmersdorf. The hotel il set just a few minutes from the famous Kurfürstendamm shopping street, and the area is perfect for sightseeing, culture, musicals and theatres.
Two airports are serving Berlin; Berlin-Tegel Airport which is 11.2 km/6.1 miles from the hotel and Berlin-Schönefeld Airport, 21.4 km/13.2 miles away.
- From the UK: Direct flights from London are operated by British Airways, Germanwings and low-cost airlines EasyJet and Ryanair. Easyjet also offer direct flights from Bristol, Manchester, Glasgow and Edinburgh. While Flybe run direct flights from Birmingham.
- From Ireland: Flying from Dublin, you can find direct flights provided by Aer Lingus and low-cost airline Ryanair; Ryanair also flying from Shannon.
- From the Netherlands: KLM and Easyjet fly direct from Amsterdam, while Transavia also provide direct flights from Eindhoven.
- From Sweden, Denmark and Norway: SAS, Norwegian and Air Berlin operate direct flights from all three respective capitals, Stockholm, Copenhagen and Oslo. EasyJet also fly direct out of Copenhagen.
- From Finland: Finnair and Air Berlin both fly direct from Helsinki.
- From Germany: Air Berlin serves the city with direct flights from other major German cities, including: Hamburg, Dusseldorf, Frankfurt and Munich.
- From France: Direct flights out of Paris can be found from Air France, Germanwings, Air Berlin and Easyjet. Air France also fly direct out of Toulouse and Marseille while Easyjet also fly out from Lyon and Nice.
From Berlin-Tegel:
- Taxi: The ride to the hotel is only 12 minutes long, and should cost between 20€ and 23€ (between around £14.6 and £16.8).
- Public transport: Combining bus and metro, you can get to the hotel within 25 minutes. From the airport, take the bus line 109 towards Zoologischer Garten, stop at Jakob-Kaiser-Platz (U). At Jakob-Kaiser-Platz, switch to metro line U7 and get off at U Berliner Str. From this station, walk up Bundesallee crossing Berliner Strasse. The hotel will be on your left. This journey should cost less than 5€/around £3.5.
- By car: Leaving the airport, follow signs to “Zentrum” on the A111. Conitnue onto 100 towards Wilmersdorf. Take exit 13-Hohenzollerndamm toward Hohnzollerdamm. Keep left and follow signs to Tiergarten. Turn right onto Güntzelstrasse then right onto Bundesallee, the hotel will be on your right.
From Berlin-Schönefeld:
- Taxi: The 20 minute taxi ride should cost between 40€ and 50€ (between around £29 and £36.5).
- Public transfer: You would need to combine bus and metro, and the journey should take around 50 minutes. At the airport, take the X7 bus line towards U Rudow, stop at U Rudoow. Switch to the U7 metro line towards S+U Rathaus Spandau, get off at U Berliner Str. From the station, walk up Bundesallee crossing Berliner Strasse. The hotel will be on your left. This journey should cost less than 5€/around £3.5.
- By car: Leaving the airport, turn right onto Am Seegraben, then right onto the 113 following Berlin-Zentrum. Continue onto 100 for around 15 minutes, and take exit 16-Wexstrasse toward Zentrum. Merge onto Wexstrasse, turn right onto Prinzregtenstrasse, left onto Durlacher Str. And right onto Bundesallee. The hotel will be on your left.
