Brussels is served by two airports, Brussels National Airport located in the neighbouring municipality of Zaventem, and Brussels-South Charleroi Airport located between Brussels and Charleroi in Gosselies - Brussels National Airport is closest to the hotel.
Gent-Sint-Pieters train station is the closest to the hotel and has regular trains coming from Brussels-Midi and Brussels-Zuid. Arriving internationally, high-speed trains are operated by several companies: Eurostar from the UK, TGV from France and Thalys from a variety of countries including the UK, France, Germany and the Netherlands. Some journey times are: Paris (1 hour 30 minutes), London, Amsterdam and Cologne (1 hour and 50 minutes).
Once you arrive in Ghent, you can either take a 30-minute bus ride (line 34, 35 or 36) to Deurle Dorpsstraat and walk to Auberge du Pêcheur, or finish your journey with a 10 minute taxi ride which should cost between £17 and £20.
- By taxi: while it is possible to take a taxi from the airport, as the hotel is roughly 45 minutes away it may cost between 140€-170€!
- By car: as you leave the airport, use the left hand lane to head towards the A201, then use the right hand lanes to follow the E40 towards E19 for 14km. At the 10-Groot-Bijgaarden interchange stay right to follow the E40 towards Gent for another 46km and then take Exit 14-Sint Denijs for the N43. Take a right to head towards Deinze, and stay right at the fork to follow the N43. Once you reach the roundabout, take the first exit onto Pontstraat, and continue for just under a kilometre - you will find the hotel on your left.
From Monday to Friday from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. and on Saturdays, Sundays and French bank holidays from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.
