Orestone Manor is a magnificent Georgian manor house in the pretty south Devon coastal village of Maidencombe, with spectacular sea views over Lyme Bay and beyond.

BY TRAIN

  • Orestone Manor is easily reachable by train. Newton Abbot is the nearest station, 4.4 miles (10 mins) away by car or taxi. Direct mainline trains run here direct from London Paddington, with a typical journey time of 2 hours 30 mins, Bristol (1 hr 30), Birmingham (2 hrs 45) and around the country.
    For tickets and itineraries, see National Rail or First Great Western. From London, trains depart from Paddington station.

BY PLANE

  • Exeter International Airport is the closest airport to the hotel.
    Flybe offer flights from Manchester, Newcastle, Belfast, Edinburgh, and seasonally from Glasgow in the UK. They also offer direct flights from Jersey, Guernsey and other cities in Europe, such as Dublin in Ireland, Paris in France and Amsterdam in the Netherlands.

BY CAR

  • Approaching from Teignmouth on the A379 (signposted Torquay), look for the Torquay sign (stay with main road and do not follow signs for Maidencombe Village and beach) and one mile further on, turn 'acute left' into Rockhouse Lane. There is a signpost to the hotel on the main A379 road at the top of Rockhouse Lane.
    From Torquay follow the A379 (signposted Teignmouth) up Watcombe Hill. Then watch for Brunel Manor and turn right down Rockhouse Lane approximately 50 yards further on.
