Appart'Hôtel Le Cheval Blanc

Chic and convenient, right opposite the Roman amphitheatre in Nîmes.

By Jo Weston, VeryChic correspondent
“France may be Paris, but Paris is not France.” So wrote Henry James in his introduction to A Little Tour in France, first published in 1884. He conceived the book as a description and homage to the French provinces, recounting a six-week tour beginning in Touraine, going south-east through Provence and then north along the Rhone River to Burgundy. Even though we didn’t have six weeks to spare, we thought it was a fine idea to follow in his footsteps, at least for some of the highlights! Our mission led us to Nîmes, and to the wonderfully located Aparthotel Le Cheval Blanc.
