Paris is served by three main airports: Paris Charles de Gaulle (CDG), located 25 km (16 mi) to the northeast of Paris, Paris Orly (ORY), located 13 km (8.1 mi) south of Paris, and Paris Beauvais (BVA), around 85 km (53 mi) north of Paris (near the city of Beauvais).
Paris Charles de Gaulle and Paris Orly receive flights from most capitals and major cities across Europe. Meanwhile, low-cost airlines (notably Ryanair), operate flights to Paris Beauvais from many cities across Europe.
HOW TO GET FROM THE AIRPORTS TO THE HOTEL
- By taxi: ensure to take a licenced taxi from outside the airport, the journey will take about 1 hour and will cost 110-140€.
- By train: The nearest train station is Melun, easily accessible by the RER-D. The hotel is then a 10 minute taxi away, the journey should cost no more than 35€ in total and can take up to 2 hours.
- By car: car rental companies are readily available at the airport terminals, altough it is often cheaper to book online and in advance. Take the Périphérique towards Orly/ Lyon. Then take the A6 twaords Lyon and taking the exit towards Fontainebleau. Follow the N37 to Barbizon, the hotel is in the centre of Barbizon.
From Monday to Friday from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. and on Saturdays, Sundays and French bank holidays from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.
