Seapoint Boutique Hotel ★★★★★ - Adults Only

I could sing praises for the stunning Seapoint Boutique Hotel all day long, but I wouldn’t want to ruin the element of surprise, and enchantment for when you come to visit. So, instead, let me just fill you in on what all five senses are experiencing, from what has quickly become my favourite place at the hotel – the infinity pool.

Around me, I see my fellow guests relaxing in the sunshine, taking a dip in the pool, chatting, laughing and toasting to an ethereal and unforgettable experience. All of this is taking place in the intimate atmosphere of this recently re-opened and newly discovered hidden treasure of a hotel.

I can hear the warm summer breeze brushing past me and through the leaves on the trees, the waves ebbing and flowing across the peaceful beach. The scene is made even more magnificent by the sun setting over the horizon, which feels like it's just a stone’s throw away from the establishment.

I sip a rather delicious cocktail from the bar – a plethora of enticing tastes and flavours reminding me of the succulent selection of local fruits and exotic flowers in the welcome basket left for me in my delightful room, one of just 23 and luxurious enough for royalty.

I can smell a concoction of exquisite aromas wafting from the restaurant. Preparation is under way for the evening’s guests who have decided to dine here. Of course, thanks to the half board option, those wanting to venture to Grand Baie for the local restaurants, boutiques and activities, have the opportunity to do so.

It goes without saying, then, that I’m feeling rather relaxed. I might even head down to the Thalgo spa shortly… but perhaps I should pinch myself first, and just check that I’m not daydreaming. This feels much less like reality and much more like a fantastical daydream conjured up by my vivid imagination.
