Hooftstraat carries every label the discerning shopper needs, from Bulgari to Valentino. Not a great place to find souvenirs for the family, but a wonderful one to find souvenirs for you.
  • The Museum Quarter. Almost on your hotel doorstep, it not only includes Amsterdam’s biggest and best museums, but also the royal concert hall, and the city’s most photographed attraction – the letters of ‘I Amsterdam’.
  • The Bloemenmarket. It’s the world’s only floating flower market, and it’s a beautiful place to find some traditional Dutch tulips.

  • Amsterdam Schiphol Airport (AMS) is located around 9km / 5.6mi southwest of Amsterdam. It is the main international airport in Netherlands and serves as a hub for KLM and Transavia. It welcomes year-round direct flights from many European capitals and major cities, including from the UK.

    • To reach Max Brown Hotel Museum Square from Amsterdam Airport Schiphol in the Netherlands, walk for about 3 minutes (140 meters) from the airport to Schiphol, Airport, then take a 31-minute bus ride (Bus 397 towards AMS Elandsgracht, 9 stops) from Platform B15 - B17 to Amsterdam, Museumplein. Finally, walk for approximately 3 minutes (200 meters) to reach the hotel at Jan Luijkenstraat 40-46, 1071 CR Amsterdam.

BY TRAIN

  • Amsterdam Centraal Station is the main railway station in Amsterdam, located city centre. It is connected with the country's high-speed train network and most international trains arrive here.

    It is therefore possible to reach Amsterdam city centre by train rapidly from neighbouring countries. For example, the journey time from London with Eurostar in conjunction with Thalys, is around 4 hours and 45 minutes.
