BY PLANE

  • Paris is served by three main airports: Paris Charles de Gaulle (CDG), located 25 km (16 mi) to the northeast of Paris, Paris Orly (ORY), located 13 km (8.1 mi) south of Paris, and Paris Beauvais (BVA), around 85 km (53 mi) north of Paris (near the city of Beauvais).

    Paris Charles de Gaulle and Paris Orly receive flights from most capitals and major cities across Europe. Meanwhile, low-cost airlines (notably Ryanair), operate flights to Paris Beauvais from many cities across Europe.

BY TRAIN

  • Most international trains arrive at either Paris Gare du Nord or Paris de l’Est. From either station take metro line M5 (orange) to Richard-Lenoir.

    From the UK: Eurostar operate trains from London St. Pancras International train station to Paris Gare du Nord.

    From Germany: Direct trains can be found from several major cities including Frankfurt, Cologne and Dusseldorf, terminating at either Paris Gare du Nord or Paris de l’Est. Thalys operate fast trains from Dusseldorf and Cologne.

    From the Netherlands: Thalys also run direct trains from Amsterdam and Rotterdam to Paris Gare du Nord.

    From France: The French TGV operate fast trains from across France.

METRO

  • The metro stop Quai de la Rapée (line 1 and 5) is located a few steps from the residence. The L5 line goes directly to Gare du Nord and Garde de l'est.

HOW TO GET FROM THE AIRPORTS TO THE HOTEL

  • From Paris Charles de Gaulle airport:
    - By taxi: Taxis are easily found outside each terminal, be sure to take an officially licensed taxi from the rank. Fares vary depending on traffic, but expect to pay between 45 to 55 euros.

    - By train: This is generally the most cost-efficient method. The airport connects to the city via Line B of the RER; take the train to Gare du Nord. Then switch to the metro system and take the M5 (orange) for 5 stops to Quai de la Rapée. Tickets are 9.75€ or 6.85€ for children (4- 9). From there you will have a 3 minute walk. Head northwest on Voie Mazas towards Voie Georges Pompidou then continue onto Boulevard Bourdon and the residence will be on your left.

    From Paris Orly airport:
    - By taxi: Taxis are easily found outside each terminal, make sure to take an officially licensed taxi from the rank. Fares vary depending on traffic, but expect to pay between 25 to 29 euros.

    From Paris-Beauvais airport:
    - By bus: There is a shuttle bus which runs to Porte Maillot in the city. From there, take the metro line M1 (yellow) to Bastille. From there it is less than 6 minutes’ walk. Head west on Esplanade du port de l'arsenal then turn left onto Boulevard Bourdon and the residence will be on your right.
