For as long as I can remember, Italy has always been my refuge, my happy place, a place where all my worries melt away. Every moment spent there seems to be filled with joy, from the dazzling white sand, to warm blue waters and ice-cold gelato – and my stay on the beautiful island of Sicily was no different. But during my time at the Donna Coraly Resort in the south-eastern region of Syracuse, I didn’t just experience the Italy of today but the Italy of yesteryear… steeped in 600 years of history, this noble villa is the perfect place to unwind and take a trip back to a simpler time.
