“Whoever does not visit Paris regularly will never really be elegant.” - Honoré de Balzac

If Honoré de Balzac was right, it seems that my husband and I have been on an endless quest for elegance over the course of the last decade or so. During our numerous sojourns, we’ve decided that like a river, it’s impossible to step in the same Paris twice: it’s exciting, romantic and ever-evolving. However, sometimes the chaos of the city centre can be overwhelming; so for our next jaunt over to the City of Love, we decided to try a new tactic and stay in the more tranquil suburb of Boulogne-Billancourt, at the Hôtel Acanthe; and we can confirm it’s one of our most enjoyable Paris experiences to date.
