BY PLANE

  • Amsterdam is served by Amsterdam Schiphol Airport (16km), located around 16km south-west from the city centre, it receives flights from many capitals and major cities across Europe.

HOW TO GET FROM THE AIRPORT TO THE HOTEL

  • - By taxi: A taxi from the airport to the hotel will take around 15 minutes and will cost 40€ - 45€.

    - By Airport Shuttle: Run by the company Connexxion they leave every 10 minutes between 6am and 9pm and drop you off at the Hotel. Tickets cost around 17€ one way and 27€ return, and can be purchased on-line or inside the main arrival hall; the bus leaves from platform A7, situated just outside the arrivals hall. You can purchase tickets inside arrivals hall 2, or book in advance online.

    - By train: The Intercity, Regional-Express and Thalys trains all run every 10 minutes from Schiphol Airport to Amsterdam Centraal Station, taking around 15 minutes and costing 5€ - 7€. From there, you can take tram number 17 or bus number 170 to Westermarkt. The hotel is a one-minute walk away: simply head south on Prinsengracht and it will be on your left.

BY TRAIN

  • From the UK, the Eurostar operates trains from London to Amsterdam (in conjunction with Thalys). The journey time is around 4 hours and 45 minutes, with a change over in Brussels. Otherwise from mainland Europe, trains are available from many other countries and can be found and booked online with Rail Europe.

    Getting from Amsterdam Central Station to the hotel:
    From the station, it is a 10-minute tram journey on lines 13 or 17. The stop nearest the hotel is Westermarkt. Getting off the tram, head backwards and take a right at the canal onto Keizersgracht. (It is also possible to walk directly from Central Station, taking around 20 minutes.)
