Mediterranean charm on the island of Ischia

By Ellie Burnage, VeryChic correspondent
My first glimpse of the majestic verdant peaks and golden sand beaches of Ischia certainly was a sight for sore eyes. I was in great company here: my favourite poet, W.H. Auden, summered on the beautiful island for nearly a decade. He declared: “My thanks are for you, Ischia, to whom a fair wind has brought me rejoicing with dear friends…” and after a week spent immersed in the Mediterranean charm and healing thermal waters of the Hotel San Valentino Terme, I was most definitely thanking the fair wind that brought me here too.
