  • The location in the very heart of Sorrento, yet still surrounded by the peace and tranquillity of a verdant Mediterranean garden.
  • The unmistakably Italian craftsmanship of the Vietri tiling, both on the floors and decorating the bathroom walls.
  • Enjoying the Italian sunshine around the top-floor pool area, sipping a cocktail from the bar, or just gazing at the stunning views over the islands to Mount Vesuvius.
  • Relaxing in the certainty of faultless five-star service and helpfulness from the staff.
  • Being in the perfect position to explore the Amalfi coastline, Pompeii, and other archaeological treasures, as well as to take a cruise to the island of Capri.
Grand Hotel La Favorita ★★★★★

Everything that sums up La Dolce Vita distilled in the essence of Sorrento.

By Jo Weston, VeryChic correspondent

Sorrento, the heart of the Amalfi coast, loved Sophia Loren so much it gave her the freedom of the city. This is where sunshine, gourmet food, a naturally beautiful rugged coastline and ancient craftsmanship meet and mix with the trademark Italian love of easy-going cheer to create the ultimate Dolce Vita. And the Grand Hotel La Favorita ***** is where it is all distilled into a single beautiful experience.
