Can anyone find a better destination than Venice for satisfying the mind, the eyes and the tastebuds? I don’t think so, and I have long been captivated by this city’s architectural, cultural and gastronomic expertise. For our most recent visit, my husband and I unearthed a wonderful new hotel; the SINA Centurion Palace *****L. This sumptuous establishment effortlessly marries history and luxury with contemporary designer touches for a one of a kind experience, a true feast for the senses.

BY PLANE

  • Venice Marco Polo Airport (VCE), is located on the Italian mainland about 8 km (5 mi) north of Venice. Many airlines operate flights to this airport (although it serves as a base for Volotea and EasyJet). It receives international flights from most capital cities, and many other large cities, from across Europe.

HOW TO GET FROM THE AIRPORT TO THE HOTEL

  • - By transfer service: this service is provided by the hotel from Venice Marco Polo airport for 200€ per trip (on request and confirmation).

    -By taxi: taxi’s can be found outside the terminal. Alternatively, you can book a taxi via Radio Taxi Venezia +39 041 5964. The journey takes 14 minutes and costs between 40€/£28.45 and 50€/£35.55.

    -By bus: from Venice airport, take the ATVO Italia bus to Venice Piazzale Roma. From Venice Piazzale Roma it is only a 20 minute walk to the hotel. Alternatively, you can book a taxi via via Radio Taxi Venezia +39 041 5964. The journey takes 45 minutes and costs between 3€/£2.15 and 6€/£4.25.
