Le cahier des charges était… Chargé justement : il nous fallait trouver un resort qui accueille les familles, - comptant chacune plusieurs têtes blondes ébouriffées -, de trois couples d’amis bien décidés à passer des vacances aussi reposantes pour les parents que trépidantes pour les enfants ! Le tout au soleil, of course, pas trop éloigné de France et sur la plage. Vous avez dit compliqué ? Pas tant que ça : car, grâce à Verychic, nous avons repéré le Candia Park Village **** !

Candia Park Village **** is found on Mirabello Bay, along Crete’s northeast coast, it boasts stunning sea views over the sea and bay and is just a 5 minute drive from the neighbouring towns of Agios Nikolaos and Elounda.

BY PLANE

  • The main airport in Crete, and closest to the hote, is Heraklion International Airport (“Nikos Kazantzakis”). Most international flights to the airport run seasonally, during the summer.

HOW TO GET FROM THE AIRPORT TO THE HOTEL

  • - By taxi: A taxi from the airport to the resort will take around 50 minutes and will cost 60€ - 70€.

    - By bus: There is a bus from Heraklion to Agios Nikolaos every hour, which takes 1 hour and 45 minutes. From there, it is a 5-10 minute taxi ride to the resort.

    - By car: if you choose to hire a car from the airport, merge onto the VOAK/E75 for around 20 kilometres then continue onto the EO Irakliou Agiou Nikolaou/VOAK/E75/EO90 for around 37 kilometres. Turn left onto Palea EO Irakliou Agiou Nikolaou/PEO90 (signs for Elounta/Iraklio Old Road) then turn right to Elounta. Continue onto Epar.Od. Agiou Nikolaou – Vrouchas then take the second right where you will find the resort.
