Only a couple of years ago, the Place de la République was redeveloped and completely transformed to create a new urban space which is more attractive, more friendly and more welcoming than ever. The nearby Le Général Hotel, completely refurbished and redesigned in 2016, could have been tailor-made to reflect the new attributes of its famous landmark of a neighbour.
