You’ve heard of Cheshire and Staffordshire, Hampshire, Lancashire, and Yorkshire. You may also have heard of ‘Chiantishire’, aka Tuscany, a region in Italy that has been cultivating its love affair with the Brits for centuries. What is it about Tuscany that creates such British appeal? Is it the green rolling hills that make us think of home? Or the olive groves and vineyards that remind us that we’re most definitely not in England ? Perhaps it’s the architecture, so colourful and flamboyant when compared with our own red bricks and classic British style. Or the food? The art? The people? Whatever the reasons, the Borgo San Luigi ****, a charming resort hotel situated between Sienna and Florence in the heart of the Tuscan countryside, is sure to keep guests coming back for more.
