Solar Egas Moniz

Intimate comfort surrounded by the best historical regions of Portugal.

By Kathryn Atkins, VeryChic correspondent
Portugal is a melting pot of different cultures, brewed over centuries of exploration and adventure. The Portuguese led the world in discovery of Africa and South America thanks to their fantastic maritime skills, bringing back the very best of the strange cultures they discovered. The result is a European destination quite unlike any other. Discover culture and food from the world over in Porto and its surrounding Douro countryside towns, before returning to the intimate family-run comfort of the Solar Egas Moniz hotel – like an intrepid explorer coming home.
