  • The farmhouse sausage. This local speciality comes in several varieties “botifa¬rra” (black sausage) “bufa” (black pudding) “blanquet” (white sausage) or “llonganissa” (spicy pork sausage). You’ll be able to find these in any traditional butcher’s in the region.

Hotel Al Zaraq is found halfway down the east coast of Spain, set in beautiful green countryside just 7 minutes from Calpe, and a ten minute drive from the Costa Blanca beaches.

BY PLANE

  • Alicante-Elche Airport (ALC) is located just under an hour from the hotel. It is the main airport to serve the Valencian Communiity as well as Murcia. It welcomes flights from a wide range of major EU destinations including many UK cities like London, Bristol, Birmingham, Manchester, Leeds, Edinburgh, Glasgow and Belfast.

HOW TO GET FROM THE AIRPORT TO THE HOTEL

  • - By taxi: A taxi from the airport to the hotel will take just under an hour and will cost 100€ - 130€.

    - By car: If you choose to hire a car at the airport, get onto the N-388 then A-70, following signs for A-70/Alacant/Benidorm/València/A-31/Madrid. Merge onto the AP-7 towards La Vila Joiosa/Valencia then take exit 64 towards N-332/Altea/Calpe/Calp. Continue onto CV-755 then merge onto Calle Isla de Altea/N-332 via the ramp to Calpe/Valencia. Continue to follow the N-332 and you will find the hotel on your right.
