View all offersThe district of Les Batignolles is, itself, something of a duet between two distinct and recognisable faces of Paris: in the south-east the Haussmann buildings and up-market shopping outlets exude a similar essence as the Champs Élysées. In the north-east, you’ll find a relaxed, bohemian ambience where cafés spill in classic Parisian style onto the streets. Visitors feel as though they have found the authentic Paris at last. The Hôtel Duette fits into this part of Les Batignolles in perfect harmony.
The hotel’s new façade catches the eye with a bright, contemporary look in metal and slate, and warm golden lighting that suggests a cosy atmosphere even before you step inside. The interior greets you with geometric carpeting, swirling shapes, and bright shades of cerise, midnight blue, and a leitmotif of citrus yellow. There are only twenty-nine rooms, which means it’s easy to feel a really personal welcome from the staff. Here, the bright contemporary tones in the bedrooms have a reprise of bright yellow, but gentler blue-greys add a pastoral and relaxing refrain. They make the ideal cocoon of calm from which to launch oneself into the rhapsody of the street, the excitements of the markets, and the fun café culture of a Paris that is more laidback than many visitors ever experience. This could be the quintessential Paris of your imagination.
Your day will start with an overture of a delicious buffet breakfast chez Hôtel Duette, continue with a chorus of street-market vendors calling out their wares, and reach a fanfare of delight as you revisit the romantic image of Sacré Cœur. A finale of a delightful dinner in one of the area’s many gourmet bistros, and you will sink into the comfort of your room, dreaming of tomorrow’s encore.
