Riad Douceur Mandarine

Sweet and intimate stay close to the central Medina.

By Lizzie Davey, VeryChic correspondent
Marrakech is a never-ending maze of colourful markets, spice souks, and open squares dotted with snake charmers and local artisans. It’s characterised by rich colours, lavish textures, and the melodic tune of chatter; a pocket of rustic culture amidst sprawling deserts and the snow-capped peaks of the Atlas Mountains. Amidst the busy bustle, though, there is a heavy emphasis on relaxation and wellbeing – something I discovered in abundance at the Riad Douceur Mandarine. Situated close to the central hub of the city, the cosy, calm surroundings of the guesthouse provide respite from the clamour of the nearby Medinas, particularly on the charming roof terrace that is tinged with the swirling aroma of tangerines.
