From London Heathrow to central London:
- By train: The cheapest method and also convenient, is to take the underground Piccadilly line direct to Gloucester Road.
From London Gatwick to central London:
- By train: Gatwick Express operates regularly to London Victoria in about 30 minutes (costing around £20 single (£10 for children) or £35 return (£18 for children), it is a little cheaper if booked in advance). Southern Trains also operate four times an hour to London Victoria in around 35 minutes (for around £15 single). From there, take the District line (green) to South Kensington.
- By bus: National Express operate coaches to London Victoria once an hour, taking around 90 minutes (tickets are around £8 single, £15 return). EasyBus also operate frequent low-cost buses from both terminals, also to London Victoria, taking about an hour. From there take the District Line (green) to South Kensington.
From London City to central London:
- By train: There is a DLR station in front of the airport; it is three stops to Canning Town where you can change for underground services. Take the Jubilee line (grey) to Westminster, and change for the District line (green) to South Kensington.
From London Luton to central London:
- By train: A shuttle bus runs to Luton Airport Parkway Station where trains operate to Kings Cross Station in 25 minutes (tickets are around £18 single, £30 return). From there, take the Piccadilly Line direct to South Kensington.
- By bus: National Express operate to London Victoria taking about 35 minutes (it is around £10 single, £15 return). The often cheaper EasyBus run to Baker Street taking 60 minutes. From Victoria take the District line or from Baker Street take the Circle line, to South Kensington.
From London Stansted:
- By train: Stansted Express runs to London Liverpool Street in about 50 minutes (for around £23 single, £33 return). From there, take the Circle line (yellow) to South Kensington.
- By bus: National Express run to London Liverpool Street in about 75 minutes (for around £8 single, £15 return). The often cheaper EasyBus runs to Baker Street in 75 minutes. From either stop, take the Circle line (yellow) to South Kensington.
From London Southend:
- By train: Trains operate regularly between Southend Airport Station near the terminal building to London Liverpool Street station (for around £15 single). From there, take the Circle line (yellow) to South Kensington.
From within the UK trains can be found and booked via National Rail, take the train to Victoria Station, followed by either the Circle or District line tube to South Kensington.
From mainland Europe trains can be found and booked via Rail Europe. Together, the companies including Eurostar, TGV & Thalys operate high speed train services from Germany, the Netherlands, Belgium and France to London St Pancras International. From there make your way over to King's Cross tube stationa and take the Piccadilly line to South Kensington.
