As you wake up in your cosy studio, dressed in luscious shades of chocolate and cream, do as the Parisians do and make yourself a strong espresso in your fully-equipped kitchenette, before looking out onto the pretty tree-lined boulevard Richard Lenoir. The sight of bustling Marais shopkeepers and chic boho mums in the park stir you into action. You grab a hot shower before heading down for a croissant (it is Paris, after all) and more coffee in the sunny breakfast room.
On your way out, the friendly lady on reception gives you tips on what to see. Before you know it, you’ve got an entire day planned encompassing museums, art galleries, and the best streets for boutique shopping, plus a night at the opera she was all too happy to book for you, pointing out how near it was to the hotel.
After a hard morning’s gallery-visiting, boutique-shopping, and people watching from pavement cafés, you head back to your studio like any other typical Parisian to drop off your purchases and freshen up. Having your own place in such a central location really is marvellous, and the thoughts of your still un-stocked kitchen push you into buying a fresh warm baguette and creamy Brie on the way, plus a bottle of Sauvignon, in case you fancy a night cap later.
In the evening, after a delicious meal in a chic nearby restaurant, you pop into the business centre, loving the 24-hour service, to check your emails and plan tomorrow. You could really get used to life as a Parisian – in fact, you’ve almost forgotten the Citadines Bastille Marais studio isn’t actually home…
