Sometimes all you need is to get away from modern day rushing and pushing, hankering after a bygone time when “holidays” were genteel strolls in pretty streets, lavish feasts stretched out over hours, and never going faster than a punt on a river or relaxing train ride through the countryside. For those times, there will always be Bruges. Known as the “Venice of the North”, this Belgian jewel offers all this and more, with the Dukes' Palace Residence, taking you back to a time of luxury, generosity, and style.

BY PLANE

  • Ostend–Bruges International Airport (OST), or simply Ostend Airport, sits 25 km / 15 mi from Bruges centre. The airport is very little served however, with a handful of flights from mainly Spain and Greece.
