Exceptional

By Kathryn Atkins, VeryChic correspondent
Few cities offer such a harmonious blend of old and new as Paris. With enough time and the right guide, you can excavate under the surface of modern chic and luxury like an archaeologist to find the tradition, culture, and history below. The Marais region is a typical example, its resplendent Place des Vosges the historic core around which modernity has grown, from the Jewish quarter to the Picasso museum. Explore the seven levels of the Hôtel Les Tournelles, from its modern renovations to its 17th-century heart, to find a comfort and warm hospitality that has only deepened over the centuries.

Chic idea: to make the most of your time in Paris, book your tickets in advance for a wide range of activities, here.
