The Hotel OTTO **** is located in the Charlottenburg-Wilmersdorf neighbourhood just 5 minutes on foot from the pretty Savignyplatz square.
BY PLANE
Berlin is currently served by two main airports Berlin Tegel Airport, located around 8 km (5.0 mi) northwest of the city centre, and Berlin Schönefeld Airport located around 18 km (11 mi) southeast of the city centre. Between them, they receive flights from most capitals and major cities across Europe.
Berlin Tegal is notably a hub for Air Berlin and Germanwings, while Berlin Schönefeld is notably a hub for EasyJet, Ryanair and Condor.
HOW TO GET FROM THE AIRPORTS TO THE HOTEL
Getting to the Hotel from Berlin Schönefeld:
- By taxi: A taxi From Berlin Schönefeld Airport towards Berlin centre costs on average between 30 and 35 euros.
- By train: Take the RB14 train (direction of Nauen, Bahnhof) or the RE7 train (direction of Dessau, Hauptbahnhof) to Zoologischer Garten Bhf. This journey should take around 40 minutes. It just under a 10 minute walk to the hotel from the station. Turn left when leaving the station up Hardenbergstraße, take a left at Steinplatz square, cross the square and walk up Goethestraße, then take a right onto Knesebeckstraße.
Getting to the Hotel from Berlin Tegel:
- By taxi: Berlin Tegel is just 8 kilometres from the centre of Berlin, a taxi towards the centre costs on average between 15 and 20 euros.
- By bus & metro: There are no train lines that run directly to this airport, however it is served by several buses which run into the centre of town. The best option to get to the hotel is to take bus X9 to Ernst-Reuter-Platz. It is then a few minutes' walk down Hardenbergstraße and right down Knesebeckstraße.
From Monday to Friday from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. and on Saturdays, Sundays and French bank holidays from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.
