Iris Hotel Eden ★★★★

The Eden Arena brims with competitive spirit. As one of the biggest sporting arenas in the Czech Republic, how could it not? You’ll often find it filled with ambitious, powerful athletes, competing in everything from swimming to football to rugby to ice hockey, and the enthusiastic fans that support them. It must be assumed that the Iris Hotel Eden ****, so close by, must have absorbed a little of the competitive energy – a hotel doesn’t reach such soaring heights of excellence without some truly motivated, single-minded staff.

In terms of location, the Iris Hotel Eden **** is on to a winner – it’s a little way outside the centre of Prague, in a quiet, calm neighbourhood, despite its proximity to the arena. That said, with both the Eden Arena and a sizeable mall close by, the hotel isn’t short of neighbouring restaurants, bars, and shops. Not that you need them - a tram into central Prague is only a few short minutes from the hotel door.

While much of the appeal of the Iris Hotel Eden **** is the comfortable, easy practicality of the place, the hotel has a more romantic side too. The Café Restaurant Eden brings a taste of traditional Czech dishes, alongside modern international cuisine, all made with fresh and seasonal ingredients. The lobby bar is lovely, with a wide range of drinks and a relaxed, informal atmosphere. As the weather turns warmer, however, the highlight has to be the summer terrace. The outdoor patio, often with music playing, is a wonderful place to head with a drink and a companion, and enjoy the evening beneath the stars. The comfortable and stylish hotel, warm welcome and convivial atmosphere of Prague will make you want to return and experience it again and again.
