BY PLANE
The main airport in Crete, and closest to the hotel, is Heraklion International Airport, “Nikos Kazantzakis” (HER). It sits around 5 km to the east of Heraklion city center and 53.3 km / 32.9 mi (around 47 minutes' drive) from the hotel.
A large number of airlines operate flights to Heraklion Airport, from a large number of cities across Europe, however it should be noted that most international flights to the airport operate seasonally, mostly during the summer. You may have to fly first to Athens and take a second flight or a boat from there.
HOW TO GET FROM THE AIRPORT TO THE HOTEL
- By taxi: The hotel is around 45 minutes away from the hotel, and can be easily accessed by a licensed taxi from the airport terminal. This journey will cost between 50€-65€.
- By car: Hiring a car is also a great way of exploring the island! As you leave the airport take the VOAK/E75 and stay on that road, heading towards Irakleio for around 50km. After this, turn right then left, and a second left, and follow this lane for around a kilometre until you reach the hotel on the left.
From Monday to Friday from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. and on Saturdays, Sundays and French bank holidays from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.
