Koh Tao
Thailand
Haadtien Beach Resort **** is situated in Thian-Og Bay, just 15 minutes from Mae Haad and around 1 km or so from the nearest village.
Considering that the island of Kah Tao isn’t accessible by plane, flying into Bangkok and then flying to Koh Samui is the way to go. Bangkok receives flights from the capitals and major cities across Europe, otherwise one can fly to Koh Samui via Kuala Lumpur and Singapore.
HOW TO GET FROM BANGKOK TO KOH SAMUI:
Bangkok Airways offer scheduled services departing from Bangkok with over 30 flights per day. The flight from Bangkok to Koh Samui is only an hour and you get to pass through Koh Samui airport which is one of the most unique and picturesque airports in the world.
HOW TO GET FROM KOH SAMUI TO KOH TAO:
Upon arrival at Koh Samui, you can arrange a transfer to Koh Tao through the airport information desk. The island can only be reached by boat (2 hours) as there is no airport on Koh Tao.
We recommend that you take either the Lomprayah Catamaran or the Seatran Discovery, which leave twice daily for Koh Tao. It is also important to note that these two operators leave from different locations on Koh Samui, so be sure to check your ticket and get a road transfer from the airport to the appropriate ferry terminal. The hotel can arrange return trips. There is only one stop on the journey, so when you stop for a second time you have arrived. The journey takes approximately 2 hours and while the boats are relatively small, the views are stunning so sit back and take them in. Be sure to have your camera at the ready too. Once you arrive on Koh Tao at Mae Haad, (both operators arrive at the same location) one of the hotel’s representatives will meet you at the boat and transfer you to the Haad Tien. Please make sure you advise the hotel which operator you are using and your arrival time so as to facilitate the transfer.
From Monday to Friday from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. and on Saturdays, Sundays and French bank holidays from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Local call charges may apply.
